Hello! Welcome to Bloomers Family Farm Blog.
Thank you for visiting and taking the time to check us out. While this isn’t our first- time blogging, it is a brand- new website so we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We won’t go into great detail as you can learn all about us in that exact section of our website.
We are Kendra & Steve Bloomfield, husband and wife, blended family of 6. Steve has 2 children from a previous marriage, and we have 2 children together. We have been married for 13 years and are living on the exact farm that Steve was born and raised on. There are 10 years between us in age, and we came from very different backgrounds. Our strengths and weaknesses are very different, and that seems to complement each other well.
Steve is a multi- generation farmer, the oldest of three in his family, and the only boy. He loves being able to work alongside his Dad each and every day. When his parents sold him the farm 18 years ago, they built a home right around the corner, and still love to spend time here working with us.
Kendra is the eldest of three in her family as well. Farming runs in her roots. She comes from a divided family, which lends some insights and experiences to this blended family life. She loves the farm wife, stay at home mom life, and is exactly where she wants to be.
We both love Jesus and trust him to lead us as we go.
We love living and raising a family on the farm, and all that it has taught and will continue to teach us. It has been full of ups and downs so far, many challenges along the way, but oh so many blessings too. It is our hope to share all of this with you as we continue to walk along the path that has been laid out for us by our Almighty Creator.
